The BLUGH: March 29, 2023

Love and success, always in that order. It’s that simple AND that difficult.
— Fred Rogers

Oh snap BLUGH day! Hope you’re BLUGHing along nicely this week.

For my people in New York, I am in a show next Tuesday. Should be a good and fun time! I am doing a character piece (wow) and will probably be wearing a blazer. Both things happen rarely so I recommend going if you can.

That’s it, folks! Onto the content:

⌨️ LEARNING OF THE WEEK: Type type type!!! You know that I type, and I know that you type. And I know that sometimes yOu wAnT YoUr fOnT To lOoK LiKe tHiS. Luckily for you, this text converter website exists and can save you a lot of time. ⌨️

PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION

Much like lip balms, I have tried all the skincare. All. The. Skincare. A big waste of money BUT I have found some absolute gems, one of which is this wonderful skin saving serum from Krave. I could compose many verses about the merits of this product but the 3 main things you need to know are:

  • It smells amazing but has no added fragrance.

  • It HEALS your skin, I don’t know how but it does. And it makes your skin stronger? I SWEAR.

  • The bottle is designed in such a way so that all the product is used. Do you understand? Every last drop.

BOOK RECOMMENDATION

Readers of the BLUGH will know that I LOVE Stoicism (capital S). I discovered it through reading. Meditations? Letters From a Stoic? Discourses? No, No, and No. It was Former MTV VJ, Karen Duffy’s book, Wise Up. I LOVE THIS BOOK. It’s not even a book I would typically read. It’s formatted as letters to her son and is so funny and endearing and empowering! Imagine not taking things personally! A dream.

TIKTOKS

I am always looking to enhance the user experience of my BLUGH readers. As such, I have created a new, less clicky, less back and forthy way to share TikToks with you: a collection. Here is this week’s collection!

Hazel Classic

I didn’t know what photo to share for this week so I scrolled to the oldest photo on my phone and it was this. It’s not great but it does have sweet Hazel, my best friend. When we first adopted her, she was not dog aggressive but then a switch flipped and she became dog aggressive. In this photo, though, she sits peacefully with Mister (RIP), the brown blob, to her left.
